Into the Light – Morris Castle297mm x 210mm – Original SoldThere is a place in Co Wexford where you walk though a tunnel under a canopy of trees and branches that opens out into the light and leads you down to the beach. Under your feet is dark gritty sand filled with twigs that’s shrouded in shadows but the light at the end is like an entrance into another world. It’s truly beautiful.
Often when painting I’m drawn to a challenge and this was certainly one with a thousand branches to paint.
However I loved every second of it and the effect of the light at the entrance gives it a very mystical feel.
