Keel – Achill Island Cottage594mm x 841mm – Original Sold
This was a commission of an old cottage house in Keel in Achill Island. The house has so much character and is such a beautiful place in real life with the back drop of the Minuan Cliffs in the distance.
There was a huge amount of little details that went into this one which I was able to do because of the larger size. Things like the individual slates on the roof, the sash windows with net curtains and old cracks and nicks out of the old walls. All of this helps me to try my goal to have the painting look equally as good from a distance as up close.
